- I long for the day when I can call myself a fiber artist and people know what it means... I spin and knit, and I'm about to teach myself crochet. I've also needle felted, wet felted, sewn, cross stitched, quilted, embroidered, woven on several types of looms, made rope...if you think of another fibery thing, I've probably at least tried it!

I love it! It reminds me of something in The Mother Tongue, by Bryson. I wonder if it's a paraphrasing or if it was influenced by it. Or maybe it's just original and I can't grasp that concept and must connect it to something.
